Tours Chanteclerc says bonjour to English Canada

After 46 years of serving the province of Quebec, Montreal-based tour operator Tours Chanteclerc is expanding into English Canada with the appointment of a new representative for Ontario and Atlantic Canada, along with the launch of their first brochure in English.

Evelyn Cassis, who owned Voyages Cassis for 26 years and recently joined Tours Chanteclerc as the company's director of South Pacific product, told PAX that in English Canada, the brand is currently being marketed as Island Dreams by Tours Chanteclerc, initially offering itineraries in Tahiti with plans to expand to other destinations offered by the tour operator in the Quebec market, such as Europe. Having previously worked in markets across Canada, Cassis explained that her experience outside of Quebec will help expand the reach of Tours Chanteclerc across the country.

To reach more agents, Fred Heinrich, a 40-year veteran in the travel industry and expert in French Polynesia, will represent Tours Chanteclerc in Ontario and the Maritimes, meeting with travel agents in those provinces. Heinrich can be reached at fheinrich@tourschanteclerc.com.

Cassis said that in addition to Ontario and the Maritimes, Tours Chanteclerc has plans to expand to Western Canada as well.

The new brochure offers different packages available in Tahiti, including a groups section with departures at a single price of $4,999 per person (tax included) from Los Angeles. An early booking promotion is available on these programs until Aug. 31.

In addition, the brochure also features 14-day cruises aboard the Aranui 5 through the islands of the Marquesas, destination wedding packages and excursions.

A series of presentations across Canada are scheduled for later this month, including stops in Toronto (Aug. 30), Calgary (Aug. 31) and Vancouver (Sept. 1). In addition, Tours Chanteclerc is planning to host Tahiti FAMs for travel agents interested in the product.
