TICO approves more than $9,900 in customer compensation

TICO’s Board of Directors recently approved payment of $9,970.14 to assist 11 consumers who did not receive the travel services for which they had paid.

The payment from the Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund, approved Nov. 18, was due to the closure of Best Way to Travel in Toronto ($2,664.72) and Mexicana Airlines in Mexico ($7,305.42).

Earlier this year, TICO approved previous payments of $1,515.62 and $2,300 to customers of Mexicana Airlines.
