TICO appoints Jean Hébert as Board chair

TICO’s Board of Directors has elected Jean Hébert as TICO Board chair.

Hébert has more than 22 years of experience in the provincial and federal public administration at senior level positions such as chief of staff and senior policy advisor in several departments including treasury board, industry, human resources, privy council, tourism and regional development.

The appointment of chair of the board is for a three year term. Hébert is one of five ministerial appointees on the Board and has served on the TICO Board since May 2011.

Hébert will assume the chair position on Dec. 13 2015.

TICO’s current Board chair, Michael Janigan, special counsel, consumer & regulatory affairs for the Public Interest Advocacy Centre (PIAC) in Ottawa, has served as TICO’s Board chair since Nov. 2010, with his term expiring on Dec. 12, 2015.
