Texas Tourism, San Antonio CVB win at Raptors-Spurs match
Texas Tourism and San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau jointly took over the Air Canada Centre on Sunday, Feb. 8 when the Toronto Raptors played the NBA 2014 champions San Antonio Spurs.
From billboards, booth displays, scoreboard and arena advertising and promo spots, free t-shirts, a Texas trip giveaway and announcements, Texas was front and centre at the Air Canada Centre. Texas Tourism and San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau hosted a group of media representatives in a private suite at the ACC, where the game came right down to the last second with the Raptors pulling off an 87-82 win.
Representatives from Texas Tourism and San Antonio are braving the Canadian winter weather and meeting up with travel trade and tour operators. In 2013, an estimated 478,900 Canadian visitors travelled to Texas in 2013, an 7.4 per cent increase from the previous year.
