Sunwing returns to St. Maarten in February

Sunwing will again offer St. Maarten as a vacation destination this coming winter, as the tour operator's flights are set to resume in February.

Year-round, weekly direct flight services from both Montreal and Toronto will depart Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019.

"St. Maarten offers excellent accommodation options for both families and couples and is perennially popular amongst our clientele," said Andrew Dawson, president of tour operations. "We are delighted to be reintroducing vacation packages here this coming winter so that our customers can once again enjoy this varied island destination."

Exclusive Sonesta offerings

Customers who take advantage of the new flight services can be among the first guests to experience two of the tour operator’s top-rated resorts, Sonesta Ocean Point Resort and Sonesta Maho Beach Resort, Casino & Spa.

Offering spectacular views of Maho Bay, the all suite adults-only Sonesta Ocean Point Resort is slated to re-open on Nov. 15, 2018. Along with a revamped lobby area, the property will now also benefit from a brand new rooftop tapas restaurant, Casa Blue. Guests can also take advantage of three exclusive pools, including the Edge pool with a zero entry cliffside beach along with an open-air wellness area and private cabanas.

Vacationers can also access the facilities and services of Sonesta Maho Beach Resort, Casino & Spa next door once it re-opens on Feb. 1, 2019.
