Sunwing launches Kidcations program

Sunwing Vacations has launched a family-friendly travel program inspired by kids’ own travel reviews.

“Kidcations” plays on the idea that a family vacation only becomes a true kidcation if it meets the approval of Sunwing’s most demanding customers - the kids.

The program came to fruition after Sunwing launched a nationwide contest where travel-savvy kids and teens competed for the chance to tour some of Sunwing's most popular family-oriented resorts and inspire future kidcationers with firsthand reviews.

Their contestant’s travel photo and video diaries were uploaded to Sunwing's website and also within the annual Kidcations magazine, which can be downloaded here. 

Sunwing recognizes that kidcations are also about ensuring that parents get a break too, and that's where the Kidcations Family Travel panel weighs in. Made up of six of Canada's leading family travel experts - including Lena Almeida, Stephanie Holmes, Candace Derickx, Sheri McDonald, Andrea Traynor and Jamie Damak - the panel gives parents the inside scoop on how to plan the perfect vacation that will make everyone in the family happy. The panel will also share their take on the best resorts for families, from the best kid-friendly pools and menus to the most relaxing beach hammocks.
