Sunwing lands on FP500 list for first time

The Sunwing Travel Group has been included within The Financial Post’s ranking of Canada’s top 500 earning corporations, marking the first time the company has made the list.

The FP500 is an annual listing of the 500 largest corporations in Canada based on revenues from the previous year. Research and rankings are collected and distributed by FPInfomart, a division of CanWest Digital Media. The news was welcomed by Stephen Hunter, president and CEO of Sunwing Travel Group, who commented.

“We’re very pleased to have been included in this year’s listing. The Sunwing Travel Group has experienced significant growth across our lines of business in a highly competitive industry, and we attribute much of that success to the dedication of our employees, the support of our travel retail partners, and the innovation and value we’ve created through vertical integration.”

Employing over 17,000 people internationally, the Sunwing Travel Group is North America’s largest vertically-integrated travel business and has been recognized on the PROFIT 500 list of Canada’s fastest growing companies for the last 13 years consecutively. Earlier in 2017, Sunwing Travel Group was also included Forbes’ ranking of Canada’s 300 Best Employers, an accolade determined through anonymous surveys submitted by employees.
