Sandals to expand in Antigua

Sandals will be expanding its presence in Antigua, with two new properties set to debut in the coming years.

According to the Jamaica Observer, the company and the government recently reached a purchase agreement on the Halycon Cove Hotel, which will be demolished to make way for a 250-room Sandals property adjoining the existing Sandals Grande Antigua.

A Beaches Resort will also undergo construction in nearby Long Bay beginning in 2016, the report said.
