RIU recognized for green efforts

RIU Hotels & Resorts has been recognized for its environmental efforts by tour operator TUI, which awarded 22 of the hotel chain’s property as a 2015 Environmental Champion.

The awards are given annually to hotels for their outstanding commitment to the environment and sustainability and RIU was recognized for 22 properties across Spain, Portugal and Mexico.

This year, RIU received eight more awards than in 2014.
