NYC anticipating 59.7M visitors for 2016

NYC & Company is forecasting a high of 59.7 million visitors to New York in 2016, which would mark the seventh consecutive year for record tourism numbers in the city.
Visitation for 2016 is forecasted to comprise of 47 million domestic and 12.7 million international visitors, both all-time highs, the organization said.
The projection was announced at the ITB Berlin tradeshow taking place this week, during which destination representatives detailed a number of ongoing developments in the city, including hotels, infrastructure investments, attractions, retailers and more.
In 2015, New York City welcomed a record 58.3 million visitors, the City’s sixth consecutive year for record-breaking tourism. Visitation for 2015 comprised 46 million domestic and 12.3 million international visitors, both all-time highs.
