Marlin Travel launches influencer campaign spotlighting travel advisors
Marlin Travel, the franchise agency brand within Transat Distribution Canada (TDC), has launched a new social media campaign featuring content creator Simona Stallone (@theotherstallone), aiming to spotlight the role of travel advisors as demand grows for personalized, professional trip planning.
The initiative marks the first time the Marlin Travel brand has partnered with an influencer.
Instead of centring the content on a single destination, the campaign is designed to highlight the “added value” advisors bring when building an itinerary tailored to a traveller’s needs, budget, and interests.
As a campaign hook, Stallone will only learn her destination once she arrives at the airport on the day of departure.
The campaign launches February 27 across Stallone’s social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, introducing the concept and her decision to work with a travel expert while sharing her trip expectations.
The destination reveal is set for March 6 at the airport, kicking off a trip that will be shared live in real time.
Starting March 20, Stallone will share her “final verdict” and sit down with her travel advisor to address common traveller myths in a light, humorous format.
TDC says the campaign targets audiences across English Canada, with a focus on Facebook and Instagram.
TDC also ran a similar campaign in January and early February for its Club Voyages brand, aimed at Quebec’s French-speaking market.
That initiative featured TV and radio host Anaïs Favron and had the same objective: reinforcing the value of travel advisors and building brand awareness.
