Logimonde commits to growing team in English Canada
Logimonde Media is pleased to announce a new addition to the Toronto team as a result of the company's continued growth and development.
Britney Hope has been appointed editorial & communications associate, a role that will have her supporting Logimonde's long-standing efforts of developing great business relationships with travel industry professionals. She took on the new position at the beginning of February and has already proven herself to be a valuable contributor to PAXnews.com and PAX magazine.
Hope has a bachelor of fine arts from Ryerson University.
She joins Terrilyn Kunopaski, editorial director Canada, who is soon approaching five years with the company, and Blake Wolfe, journalist, who has been working in a reporter capacity since July.
Wolfe will continue the day-to-day maintenance of PAXnews.com and his integral role in content production for PAX magazine.
An honours graduate of Durham College’s print journalism program, Wolfe began his reporting career in 2006 covering news and community events throughout the Greater Toronto Area for several newspapers, most recently at the Toronto Sun. During that time, he has received several awards for his work, which includes a second-place 2012 Ontario Community Newspaper Award for Humour Columnist of the Year as well as accolades for Best Headline Writing from the Canadian Community Newspaper Association in 2009 and 2010.
The growth and changes continue to build on the momentum Logimonde has built over the years, particularly in the past 12 months, which marked major milestones including the launch of PAX magazine and a complete rebrand of its online platforms.
In addition, the company continues to build a team of freelance journalists across Western Canada in an effort to implement a more robust content strategy for PAXnewsWest.com, the regional e-magazine dedicated to industry professionals in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
"We are thrilled to have Britney join our team," said Terrilyn Kunopaski, editorial director - Canada. "With the overwhelming success of PAX magazine and PAXnews.com, she is the perfect fit to support our growing team. Without a doubt, you will only see us getting bigger and better from here."
"Logimonde will continue to invest more in our Toronto team, which we see as an area of huge potential for business growth," said Marie-Klaude Gagnon, publisher & CEO. "The right team is in place as we forge forward and continue to disrupt the space of travel trade media in Canada. 2014 was our best year ever in the company's history, and I have no doubt that we will outdo ourselves in 2015."
