Kensington expands Voyages land & cruise trips to Asia & Central America

Kensington Tours is expanding its Voyages by Kensington Tours product that combines the luxury and relaxation of river and ocean cruises with private guided land experiences. 

The new itineraries focus on destinations in Central America as well as extending its reach into Asia. 

Voyages by Kensington Tours blends the best of both cruising and land exploration with bespoke, private, guided experiences on land, either before or after the cruise.  

These exclusive itineraries that venture into the heart of Central America, spotlight the diverse landscapes and rich cultures of Costa Rica, Panama, and Colombia including: 

• A cruise to Colombia and Panama, navigating the waters of the Magdalena River, complemented by enriching land excursions. This includes a day spent in Panama, delving into the Canal's construction, and experiencing Medellin's culinary scene through a private food tour. 
• A voyage through the Panama Canal to Peru, offering insights into Lima's vibrant culture, the beauty of the Sacred Valley, and the landscapes of Machu Picchu, all through the lens of private guided tours. 
• A journey aboard a premium yacht cruise liner through the Panama Canal to Costa Rica, designed to provide an extended pre-cruise opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culinary traditions, the region's rich biodiversity, and unique wildlife encounters from following the sloth trail to visiting the Wildlife Rescue Center.  

The expansion comes on the heels of a big year with sales growth for the Voyages product up 100 per cent from the previous year, the company says.

"This surge in popularity underscores the growing trend of travellers seeking more personalized, in-depth, and meaningful private guided travel experiences," reads a news release. 

Voyages is expanding its offerings in Asia, too, each one extending the cruise journey with private guided land tours that allow travelers to delve deep into the local culture, history, and natural beauty of each destination. 

New itineraries include a journey from Singapore to Bangkok with Silversea; Vietnam and Thailand with Celebrity; and river cruises with AmaWaterways along the Mekong with stops in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand and with Avalon cruises through Thailand and Vietnam. 

The expansion includes other sought-after routes, such as Antarctica, where clients can pair their cruise with immersive private guided tours in Argentina or Patagonia, and in Europe.

The demand for pairing more exclusive experiences with cruises also inspired the launch of Kensington Tours private guided shore excursions that feature a variety of enriching experiences such as historical explorations, cultural immersion, active adventures, and culinary journeys in more than 165 global ports.
