Intrepid posts record 2025 results; Canada leads growth
Intrepid Travel says it delivered its strongest performance to date in 2025, reporting record results across financial, customer and impact metrics.
The company recorded CA$759 million in bookings (+26 per cent year-over-year), CA$703 million in revenue (+29 per cent) and CA$46.8 million in underlying EBITDA (+26 per cent).
Its average Net Promoter Score (NPS) reached 83.
The results, outlined in Intrepid’s 2025 Integrated Annual Report, come despite geopolitical headwinds and broader global uncertainty.
Growth was driven by demand for experience-led travel, along with contributions from key markets and acquisitions.
Canada was Intrepid’s fastest-growing market, with 25 per cent year-over-year growth.
Performance in Australia and the U.K., along with the acquisition of Dutch tour operator Sawadee Reizen, also supported results.
The company said it will distribute CA$9 million in employee bonuses globally, delivered through a mix of cash and shares.
Intrepid has a goal of increasing employee ownership to 20 per cent.
The board also approved a dividend for eligible shareholders, marking the third consecutive year of dividend payments.
On the impact side, The Intrepid Foundation disbursed a record CA$2.9 million to community partners in 2025, up 42 per cent year-over-year.
The company also outlined a new five-year impact strategy and a climate action plan, including a CA$2 million annual Climate Impact Fund starting in 2026 to support decarbonization initiatives.
Customer satisfaction reached its highest level on record, with an NPS of 83.
Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) declined by 10 points to 54, which the company attributed to a greater focus on efficiency during a period of growth.
Overall employee engagement remained at 80 across its global workforce of 3,574 employees and tour leaders.
James Thornton, Intrepid’s CEO, said the 2025 results reflect the company’s operating model: “Our 2025 performance shows that it is possible to grow a resilient, profitable business while staying true to our values – even in the face of global uncertainty.”
“At a time when the world is more divided than ever, I’m incredibly proud that more travellers are choosing to experience the world the Intrepid way. These results are testament to our team, who deliver exceptional experiences for our customers while creating positive impact for communities,” he added.
