Highlights from the 2015 HAC Conference

The Hotel Association of Canada's (HAC) Annual Conference was held Feb. 2-3 at the Hilton Toronto Hotel, inviting members and guests to share insights, ideas, and strategies on key issues concerning the Canadian hotel and lodging industry.

The conference featured speakers from across Canada, with specialists in human resources, assets, operations, and revenue and sales management, as well as keynote presenters Doug Stephens, founder of Retail Prophet and Sean Moffitt, managing director of Wikibrands.

Various industry leaders were recognized for their human resources, humanitarian and environmental initiatives as part of the HAC Awards of Excellence program, including Michael Beckley, senior vice president, lodging development, for Marriott Hotels & Resorts, who was given a Lifetime Achievement Award for his 50+ years in the lodging industry.
