Goway eyes the skies with Egypt solar eclipse trip

Goway is giving travellers a chance to witness the 2027 total solar eclipse from Egypt with the launch of a new 10-day itinerary combining the celestial event with stays in Cairo and along the Red Sea.

The tailor-made travel company’s new Chasing Totality: Egypt & Red Sea Solar Eclipse itinerary is built around the total solar eclipse on Aug. 2, 2027, when parts of Egypt will experience more than five minutes of total darkness.

The program includes an exclusive eclipse viewing event at the Roman-style theatre at Akassia Marsa Alam, a resort on Egypt’s Red Sea coast.

Travellers will spend five nights at a deluxe resort in Marsa Alam, along with four nights at a deluxe hotel in Cairo.

The itinerary also explores some of Egypt’s best-known historical and cultural attractions, with Egyptologist-led tours of the Grand Egyptian Museum, the Pyramids of Giza and Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, among other Cairo landmarks.
