Goway absorbing visa fees for Brazil-bound travellers
Goway has announced that it will now cover all visa fees for travellers looking to explore Brazil.
Throughout the month of November, Goway will be providing a credit to offset the cost of the country’s hefty visa fee.
Currently, if you're looking to enter the country, Canadians must pay $65USD, Americans pay $160USD, and Australians $35USD, making it one of the most expensive countries in South America to visit.
Those not familiar with the concept of travelling with a visa can sometimes be caught off guard by the additional costs, and in some cases, the process is so overwhelming it discourages travellers from visiting the country altogether.
Brazil is a destination that is currently growing more and more appealing, and the Brazilian tourism board, Embratur, is looking to open a new office in Canada.
For any Brazil booking made with Goway in the month of November, the company will cover the cost of the Brazil visa. It is important to note that as with many visa costs, prices are subject to change.
To be eligible for the credit, globetrotters need to submit their receipt for the issuing of the visa when confirming their booking. Goway will then deduct that amount from the trip price.
Effective Jan. 8 2018, Canadian passport holders travelling to Brazil will be able to apply for their Brazilian visa via an electronic visa application, done online. As of June 15 2018, US passport holders will enjoy the same service.
