Globus restructures, grows trade marketing & sales teams

On the heels of unveiling a new business-to-business marketing platform, updated Travel Advisor Portal (TAP) and educational platform (GFOB U), the Globus family of brands – which sells Globus, Cosmos and Avalon Waterways – has expanded its sales and trade marketing teams to enhance advisor support.

According to a press release, the company has brought back Cory McGillivray, senior director of sales operations and channel marketing, to helm a new team.

McGillivray spent nearly a decade with the Globus in trade marketing before moving to Silversea, expanding the company’s trade distribution across the Mid-Atlantic.

Now, back with the Globus family, he aims to support the needs and challenges of the trade community, enhancing marketing and sales growth opportunities in the U.S. and Canada.

Increasing its trade marketing team by 50 per cent, joining McGillivray on this journey are Dave Llewelyn, manager of sales development and channel marketing; Faith McDade, marketing coordinator and Tamara Olton, partner training specialist.

“Merging our sales and channel marketing teams creates a seamless path to success for our Advisor partners,” said McGillivray in the release. “Through shared insights, coordinated strategies and tailored resources, our sales team – now supported by a group of new and expert trade marketing specialists – creates a symbiotic relationship where both teams leverage the strengths of the other to better navigate the dynamic landscape of the travel industry, ensuring our valued Advisor partner needs are not just met, but exceeded. With this new, improved team approach, we’re committed to giving ‘U’ – our partners – everything ‘U’ need to succeed!”

Coming from a robust background in the travel industry space – including five years at G Adventures – Llewelyn aims to “give advisors the tools they need to enjoy increased sales by helping to match the right vacations to the right people.”

Of his new role, Llewelyn said he is “excited to build on and improve the tools the Globus family of brands offers advisors to help them upskill and grow their business.”

McDade, meanwhile, brings a wealth of experience in communications strategy and content creation.

Olton, a partner training specialist, meanwhile brings a strong travel sales background, She has joined Globus from recent stints as a business development manager (BDM) at Quark Expeditions and regional sales manager at G Adventures.

“Our partnership with advisors goes beyond providing extraordinary travel experiences and a variety of travel styles for their clients; we’re interested in their profitability,” said Camile Olivere, chief sales officer for the Globus family of brands, in a statement.
