Globus “moving aggressively” into small group travel, unveils 50+ new tours
Globus is "going small in a big way" in 2025.
Speaking with PAX at Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas on Tuesday (Aug. 13), Globus president and CEO Scott Nisbet said the tour operator is “moving aggressively” into small group touring next year.
New tours are being designed for travellers who crave the intimacy of small group travel, Nisbet explained, noting how Globus’ fastest-selling segment, these days, are experiences that involve fewer people.
As part of this shift, Globus is unveiling more than 50 Small Group Discovery Tours around the world next year.
“Our new Small Group Discovery tours were built from the ground-up, specifically for small groups, with unique accommodations, exclusive excursions and special access throughout Europe, North America, Asia, Africa, South America and the South Pacific,” Nisbet said later in a press release.
New small group experiences
With an average group size of 15 (18 outside of Europe), the new tours aim to offer clients more freedom, flexibility and room while travelling.
Some of the small group experiences travellers can look forward to include:
- Spending the night in a former Franciscan Monastery in Pienza (Enchanting Italy)
- Partaking in an after-hours poetry reading at William Wordsworth’s home (Extraordinary England & Scotland)
- Enjoying a choir performance at Geghard monastery (A Journey Through Time: Armenia & Georgia)
- Embarking on a “Viking” sushi tour (Inspiring Iceland)
- Guided sightseeing with a local painter followed by a painting class in Arles (Paris & Provence)
- Overnighting on the islands of Brac and Hvar (Croatian Island Hopper)
