Globus expands Asia & Africa touring for 2027 with new small-group itineraries

Globus is expanding its Asia and Africa portfolio for 2027, introducing four new Small Group Discovery tours and more than two dozen itinerary variations designed to give travellers more time in some of the world's most sought-after destinations.

The guided tour operator says the expanded lineup responds to growing demand for longer travel experiences in destinations that can be challenging to navigate independently.

“Asia and Africa are destinations that reward travellers who slow down and stay awhile. They’re also places where touring truly shines. We handle every detail – from transportation and hotels to insider experiences and local experts – so our guests can spend less time figuring things out and more time being fully present in the places they’ve dreamed of seeing.”

Four new itineraries

Leading the expansion are four new Small Group Discovery itineraries.

A new 13-day Legacy of Japan with Hokkaido itinerary travels from Tokyo to Kyoto while venturing into Japan's northern island of Hokkaido.

The tour includes visits to Sapporo, the Upopoy National Ainu Museum and Park, a sake tasting, soba-making experience, bullet train travel, a gold leaf craft workshop in Kanazawa and time in Kyoto.

For wildlife enthusiasts, the new Kenya & Tanzania Safari Expedition takes guests through six parks, reserves and conservancies aboard custom-built safari vehicles. The itinerary features opportunities to spot Africa's Big Five, dine in the bush and visit local tribal communities.

Globus is also launching Namibia: Land of Contrasts with Johannesburg, a 13-day journey showcasing Namibia's deserts, dunes and wildlife alongside stays in Johannesburg, Swakopmund and Etosha National Park, with cultural experiences featuring Indigenous communities.

Completing the new lineup is Sri Lanka: Ancient Capitals & Wild Kingdoms, a 12-day itinerary combining UNESCO World Heritage sites, elephant safaris, scenic rail journeys through tea country and authentic village experiences.

Pre & post options

Beyond the new tours, Globus is expanding existing itineraries with additional pre- and post-tour options.

Its Visions of Japan itinerary will now offer seven variations incorporating Hiroshima, Osaka and Seoul, while Majestic Japan gains new combinations featuring Osaka, Seoul or both.

Discover South Korea adds extensions to Tokyo, Jeju Island and longer Japan itineraries, while Timeless India introduces five new combinations that include destinations such as Dubai, Mumbai, Udaipur and Kathmandu.

The company is also broadening its African safari offerings with more than a dozen new combinations. Kenya: A Classic Safari will now offer optional stays in Nairobi and beach extensions in Mombasa, while Kenya & Tanzania: The Safari Experience adds options that include Zanzibar and Uganda gorilla trekking.

Cosmos expansion

Sister brand Cosmos is also expanding its 2027 Asia and Africa collection with two new tours.

The additions include Essential China, featuring Beijing, Xi'an, Chengdu and Shanghai with an optional Hong Kong extension.

Cosmos is also adding new extensions to existing itineraries, including Seoul for Classic Japan, Goa or Sri Lanka for Best of India, and Nairobi and Mombasa for On Safari in Kenya.
