G Adventures to resume operations in Jordan
After a three-month pause due to the conflict in the Middle East, G Adventures is resuming operations in Jordan as of August 1, 2026 following the recent relaxation of global travel advisories to the region.
The update was posted to the tour operator’s website on June 16.
“G Adventures is often quick to return to destinations as soon as it is safe to do so as we recognize the vital role tourism plays in supporting local communities and livelihoods,” reads a statement.
“We have been safely operating tours in Egypt since March 23, 2026 and have the utmost confidence that we will continue to do so in Jordan.”
G Adventures, notably, hosted its GX Community Tourism Summit in Jordan back in September 2025.
Its return mirrors other operators that will be returning to the destination that’s internationally renowned for its ancient archaeological sites, like Petra, desert landscapes, and religious history.
Intrepid plans to restart trips to Jordan later this month and Exodus Adventure is resuming its trips from July.
While some advisories for Jordan have eased, Canada's recommendation for the country is to "avoid non-essential travel" due to the risk of falling military debris from intercepted projectiles, airspace closure, and renewed regional tensions.
"The security situation could deteriorate further without notice," reads a notice on the Government of Canada's travel page.
