G Adventures moves "inside the box" with Mall Group Adventures
G Adventures has announced its most “revolutionary travel innovation yet, “Mall Group Adventures.”
Announced today (April 1), the bold new travel style is designed for travellers who want to explore the world’s cultures, cuisines and fashion, “all without ever stepping outside,” reads a press release.
Created for travellers who value comfort and convenience, Mall Group Adventures offers the opportunity to explore sprawling shopping centres, try on clothing from around the globe and sample international cuisine, all under one roof.
“For this new groundbreaking style of travel, we forced ourselves to rethink outside-of-the-box thinking and decided to go back inside the box. Today, G Adventures is launching something truly revolutionary… Mall Group Adventures”, said Kyle Jordan, director of brand and creative at G Adventures, who stars in the launch video.
“Have you ever walked through a mall and thought I could spend two weeks here? Now you can… Why spend money on travel, when you could spend it at the mall?” Jordan added.
Curated corridor exploration
With a range of experiences available, travellers can choose from boutique strip malls, double-storey shopping centres, and expansive mega-malls.
Each itinerary offers curated corridor exploration, guided retail experiences and immersive food court tastings.
G Adventures is known for culturally immersive experiences, and the new Mall Group Adventures will be no exception.
Travellers will participate in an early morning power walk with a local group of senior citizens, learning traditional storytelling techniques featuring exceptional grandchildren and unexceptional sons-in-law.
Travellers will even have the opportunity to meet with a local teen who leads a group of misanthropes on aimless end-to-end treks (when in season).
For travellers seeking a little more adrenaline, Active Mall Group Adventures offer a more challenging experience, navigating multiple levels, extended corridors and, for the truly adventurous, skipping escalators altogether.
With options ranging from half-day escapes to multi-week mall expeditions, Mall Group Adventures promises travellers the ultimate convenience-driven adventure, with everything you need right at your fingertips.
“Because sometimes, the greatest journeys…are just past the food court,” the company said.
PAX confirmed for first FAM
In an update shared late Wednesday morning, David Green, VP of customer and sales operations and managing director Canada at G Adventures, confirmed that PAX made the cut for G's first Mall Group Adventures FAM – happening this summer.
"We look forward to navigating the wilds of food courts and discovering the hidden treasures of clearance racks," remarked PAX's Managing Editor Michael Pihach.
