G Adventures extends Jane Goodall Institute partnership
G Adventures is marking the first officially recognized Jane Goodall Day with a renewed 10-year partnership with the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada.
The announcement comes on April 3, 2026, which would have been Dr. Jane Goodall’s 92nd birthday.
The extended partnership, which was personally endorsed by Dr. Goodall before her passing, will continue to support conservation, wildlife protection and community-led initiatives globally.
G Adventures’ Jane Goodall Collection of trips will also continue, offering wildlife-focused itineraries across 16 destinations, including Borneo, the Galapagos Islands, Uganda, Botswana, Costa Rica and Antarctica.
The collection includes 19 trips and follows the company’s Animal Welfare Policy.
A portion of every booking supports the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada, funding conservation efforts and community programs.
“We are thrilled to be extending our historic and impactful partnership with G Adventures. Together, we are making a positive and lasting difference for animals, people, and the environment, as we continue to carry Dr. Jane's legacy forward," said Bella Lam, chief executive officer of the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada.
G Adventures founder Bruce Poon Tip also shared reflections following a final in-person meeting with Dr. Goodall in late 2025.
“Jane was a huge inspiration to me personally, a great friend and a Global Ambassador for G Adventures,” said Poon Tip.
“Our conversations over the years provided me with many lessons, some of which I am sharing with our travellers today in memory of Jane. Our last in-person meeting, just a few weeks before she passed, showed Jane continuing to champion and advocate for the change we need to see in the world."
"Our new 10-year commitment to the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada is one very close to my heart and I’m proud to continue supporting the great work that Jane dedicated her life to,” he added.
Three lessons from Dr. Jane Goodall
Poon Tip highlighted three lessons from Dr. Goodall that continue to guide him and the company:
We all have a choice in the impact we make
“Jane often reminded us that every single day, we choose the kind of difference we make in the world. Today, on her birthday, I call on our global community of travellers to think about what that action looks like when they travel and how they can leave a positive mark on the places and people they encounter”.
Understanding creates compassion—and action
“Jane believed that when people see the world with their own eyes, they begin to care. Travel has the power to build empathy and inspire people to protect what they might otherwise never understand”.
Hope is a powerful force for change
“Despite the challenges facing our planet, Jane never lost hope. She believed in the resilience of nature and the ability of individuals, especially young people, to create meaningful change”.
The Jane Goodall Collection of trips includes:
Falklands, South Georgia & Antarctica
A 22-day expedition to the remote Falkland Islands, wildlife-rich South Georgia, and Antarctica. Encounter penguins, seals, whales, and historic sites including Shackleton's grave, with expert guides providing conservation context throughout.
Southern Africa Family Journey: In Search of the Big Five
An 11-day family trip from Cape Town to Kruger National Park, focused on tracking Africa's Big Five. The itinerary also takes in coastal scenery, wildlife encounters, and Victoria Falls.
Galápagos Express Adventure: Wilderness & Wildlife
A 7-day island-hopping trip through the Galápagos, with snorkeling, hiking on volcanic terrain, and giant tortoise sightings. Naturalist Guides lead the experience across one of the world's most biodiverse ecosystems.
Uganda to Rwanda: Gorilla Treks & Safari Drives
Track chimpanzees in Uganda's rainforests, trek for gorillas in Bwindi, and take safari drives in search of elephants and hippos. The trip concludes in Kigali with a visit to the genocide museum.
