Friisdahl departs Air Canada for MLSE

Air Canada’s Michael Friisdahl has joined Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment as the company’s new president, according to reports.

Friisdahl served as president and CEO of Air Canada’s Leisure Group since 2012, prior to which he served as CEO of Thomas Cook North America.

He will replace current MLSE president Tim Leiweke, who held the position since 2013.
