Flight Centre appoints new EVPs
Flight Centre has appointed Mike Friend as executive vice-president of leisure operations for the Americas and Emma Jupp as EVP of product for the Americas, effective Jan. 1.
Friend, who will be based in Vancouver, is currently the product nation leader in Canada, joining the company as a consultant in Melbourne in 1996. Highlights of his career have included leading the FCTG businesses of Western Australia, South Australia and Northern Territory (WASANT) and as managing director of Flight Centre New Zealand. achieving the best-ever profits in the history of the business in that country, said a release from Flight Centre.
Jupp, who will be based in New Jersey until June when she heads to Toronto, began her career with Flight Centre in Vancouver almost twenty years ago; her previous roles include product nation leader in both Canada and the U.S. and managing director of Backroad Touring Company in the UK.
