Cox & Kings serves up 2018 India tour offerings

Active travel and glamping are among the India travel offerings which Cox & Kings will focus on for 2018.

The tour operator welcomed a select group of travel agents to a ‘Chit Chat Chai & Samosa Party’ last night (Nov. 30), detailing the company’s offerings in India.

Cox & Kings sales representatives Tres Lobo and Mahima Tripathi told PAX that this year, the tour operator is promoting India as a destination “beyond the Golden Triangle” of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, the country’s most popular travel itinerary.

“We are trying to differentiate ourselves from other companies by bringing in some unique brands to the Canadian marketplace this year,” Lobo said.

Tripathi added that this year, Dubai is also being promoted by Cox & Kings as “more than just a two-day stopover,” which can be combined with an India itinerary with a flight connection offered by Jet Airways.

Here’s a summary of Cox & Kings’ products available in India:

Trip 360: operating with small group (with an ideal size of six to eight but as few as two, said Tripathi) and exclusive to Cox & Kings, Trip 360 offers active travel options throughout India including scuba diving, sailing, trekking, motorcycling & cycling.

Enable Travel: dedicated to travellers with physical limitations, Enable is designed to make India accessible to everyone, operating group tours with dedicated staff and accessible vans.

Getaway Goddess: Specializing in women-only tours, Getaway Goddess caters to women from all walks of life with a wide range of itineraries across the country, from sightseeing to spa and wellness getaways.

Deccan Oddysey: India’s renowned rail experience offers guests six itineraries across the country, all in the lap of luxury. The experience also appeals to dedicated cruisers looking for something a little different, Tripathi said.

Ultimate Travelling Camp: guests can experience glamping in various destinations across India, with upcoming camps taking place in Ladakh, Nagaland and Dudhwa.
