Contiki adds Vietnam, Cambodia "Ride" trips to Asia lineup
(Contiki)

Contiki has expanded its Asia portfolio with two new small-group itineraries in Southeast Asia, introducing ride-based trips in Vietnam and Cambodia.

The new programs, Ride Vietnam and Ride Cambodia, move away from traditional coach tours, offering experiences by Vespa, motorbike and tuk tuk, with expert local drivers leading the journeys.

"Young travellers are moving beyond the Instagram 'greatest hits' and looking for trips that connect and immerse them in destinations," says Tom O'Hara, head of brand at Contiki.

"These new trips deliver exactly that - exploring Vietnam by Vespa and motorbike or Cambodia by tuk tuk - a small group of like-minded travellers can be sharing meals with locals, staying in family-run accommodation and discovering off-the-beaten-track towns and villages, all while being led by an experienced and knowledgeable Contiki crew. It's about getting closer to the culture, the communities, and the moments that make travel unforgettable."

Both itineraries focus on movement as a core part of the experience, taking travellers through cities, coastlines and rural areas.

Trips are now open for booking, with departures beginning in November 2026.

Ride Cambodia is an eight-day itinerary operated entirely by tuk tuk, with routes spanning Siem Reap to Phnom Penh.

Highlights include sunrise at UNESCO World Heritage site Angkor Wat, overnight homestays in Kampong Khleang on Tonle Sap lake and Sambor Prei Kuk, and visits to Tuol Sleng Prison and Choeng Ek

Group sizes are capped at 14, with prices starting at CAD$2,220.

Ride Vietnam runs for six days through Central Vietnam, with travel by Vespa and motorbike.

Experiences include an evening Vespa food tour through the lantern-lit streets of Hoi An, countryside rides through rice paddies and artisan villages, a motorbike tour of Da Nang's street food scene and a full-day ride across the Hai Van Pass with stops at freshwater springs along the way.

Groups are limited to 16 travellers, with prices starting at CAD$1,645.

Contiki is also supporting the launch with its "Vibes On Overdrive" creator campaign, featuring six travellers who experienced both itineraries firsthand, with content rolling out across influencer and Contiki channels.
