Collette unveils new training module focused on tour enhancements
Collette has expanded its advisor education platform with the release of the latest installment of Collette University 201, a new training module that helps travel advisors better understand and sell the enhancements available to clients before, during and after their tour experience.
Available now, the module offers an in-depth look at the tour operator's most popular add-ons and provides guidance on matching the right enhancements to the right traveller.
The training covers options including pre- and post-tour hotel stays, destination extensions, Collette's Travel Protection Plan and its Transportation Package. According to the company, the module is designed to help advisors explain how these products can add convenience, flexibility and peace of mind throughout the travel journey.
The course also encourages advisors to position enhancements as personalized recommendations rather than sales pitches. Collette notes that all of the featured enhancements are commissionable.
"Enhancements can make a meaningful difference in a traveller's overall experience when they're aligned with that person's needs and travel style," said Jaclyn Leibl-Cote, president and CEO of Collette, in a press release. "This module helps advisors better understand the value each enhancement provides so they can confidently recommend options that create an even smoother, more enjoyable journey for their clients."
The Enhancements training module is now live on Collette U. After completing the course, advisors are encouraged to download a takeaway guide and continue discussions with peers through the Travel Advisor Network.
Additional information about Collette University and the new module is available through Collette's Travel Advisor Portal.
