Chelsea Hotel Toronto completes room upgrades
Ahead of its 40th anniversary, The Chelsea Hotel, Toronto, has just completed a $12 million guestroom refurbishment.
The investment includes 750 guestrooms and suites, encompassing five room types: Chelsea guestrooms, one- and two-bedroom suites, kitchenette suites and accessible guestrooms.
All of the guestrooms include low flow showerheads and toilets as well as the installation of energy efficient light bulbs. This initiative dovetails with the hotel’s Bronze certification with EarthCheck, an environmental management program for the travel and tourism industry.
The hotel, which celebrates its 40th anniversary on Oct. 15, 2015, has seen a total of $30 million in upgrades since 2013, including the lobby, three restaurants and meeting & banquet spaces.
