BST Vacations expands Peterborough charters for 2027, adds Nassau for first time

BST Vacations is expanding its Peterborough, ON, charter program in 2027, introducing Nassau, Bahamas, for the first time as part of a six-vacation lineup departing directly from Peterborough Airport.

The 2027 Peterborough Departure Collection will span destinations in Canada, the Caribbean and the United States, along with a Holland America Line cruise along the St. Lawrence River.

The addition of Nassau marks a new chapter for the longstanding charter program, bringing a tropical sun destination into the mix.

Departing April 21, 2027, the Nassau trip will also break from BST Vacations' traditional three-night Peterborough charter format, offering an extended four-night stay.

Guests will stay at Comfort Suites Paradise Island, adjacent to Atlantis Paradise Island, with daily access to Atlantis amenities including AQUAVENTURE Waterpark, Tidal River Rapids, beaches, pools, Atlantis Theater and The Dig.

Six departures for 2027

The Nassau getaway will run April 21-25, 2027, followed by a June 17-20 departure to St. Pierre & Miquelon.

Located off the coast of Newfoundland, the French archipelago offers travellers a taste of France closer to home, with French language, culture, cuisine and wine alongside colourful streets, coastal landscapes and local history.

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, will return to the program from June 25-28, offering travellers Maritime scenery, seafood and Anne of Green Gables attractions.

Another popular destination, St. John’s, Newfoundland, will return from July 29-Aug. 1. The 2027 visit will coincide with the George Street Festival, giving travellers an opportunity to experience one of the province's signature annual music celebrations.

BST Vacations will also bring back its Majesty of the St. Lawrence cruise for a second consecutive year.

Running Sept. 1-11 aboard Holland America Line's Volendam, the itinerary combines a departure from Peterborough with a cruise from Montreal along the St. Lawrence River. Ports of call include Québec City, Saguenay, St. Pierre, Charlottetown and St. John’s.

Rounding out the collection is Nashville, Tennessee, from Sept. 16-19. Returning by client request, the getaway will showcase the city's live music, Southern cuisine and attractions including Broadway, the Country Music Hall of Fame, Ryman Auditorium and Grand Ole Opry.

A program dating back to 2014

BST Vacations launched its Peterborough charter program in 2014 to mark the company's 40th anniversary.

Its inaugural Boeing 737 flight to New York City sold out within 24 hours, prompting the company to add a second aircraft. The program has since evolved into an annual collection, with many departures selling out.

A key selling point is the convenience of flying locally. Packages include parking at Peterborough Airport, streamlined check-in and an alternative to travelling to Toronto to catch a flight.

BST Vacations also incorporates locally sourced food and beverages into the experience. A continental breakfast is prepared on departure mornings by Sobeys Catering on Lansdowne Street, while spirits and beer from local distilleries and craft brewers are served on board.

Alcoholic beverages are included on outbound flights. On return flights, alcoholic drinks are available for a $5 donation, with proceeds supporting Hospice Peterborough.

Peterborough charter packages generally include round-trip charter flights, airport parking, in-flight meals and alcoholic beverages on outbound flights, hotel accommodations and airport transfers at the destination. Cruise package inclusions vary.
