Atout France wraps blogger challenge

Atout France recently concluded its successful #FestiveFrance blogger challenge, an inaugural event held during the annual French Gastronomy Festival to promote urban and  festive tourism in France.

From Sept. 24 – 29, eight bloggers were welcomed in the cities of Nantes, Mulhouse, Bordeaux‐Périgueux and Bayonne‐Pau, where they published 1,435 posts on various social networks, reaching more than 2 million viewers through the #FranceFestive or #FestiveFrance hashtags. More than 13,000 people registered to vote for their favourite destination, said Atout France, with Bordeaux‐Périgeux winning the contest.

The eight Canadian bloggers included Mayssam Samaha (Will Travel For Food), Caleigh Alleyne (The Booklet), Gregory Georges (Follow Summer), Nathan Fong (Fong On Food), Marie-Eve Blanchard (Como la espuma), Jennifer Doré Dallas (Moi mes souliers), Jonathan Custeau (Le Bourlingueur) and Catherine Lefebvre (Catherine Lefebvre).

The #FestiveFrance contest ended on Oct. 15, 2015. Sylvie White, originally from Ontario, had the chance and the joy of winning the prize (two Air France tickets, two Rail Europe passes, a MyWebSpot wifi kit and three nights at a hotel).
