The sales team at Air Canada Vacations (ACV) has posted a booking incentive exclusively for travel advisors affected by the Cuba situation.

Agents that book their clients’ next vacation by March 20, 2026, will benefit from $125 off all packages worldwide. The departures must take place by April 30, 2026.

In addition, travel advisors will receive $50 in ACV&ME points for each new booking made as a result of the Cuba flight cancellations.

“We know the current situation in Cuba has caused unexpected disruptions, and we recognize the time, care, and effort you put into supporting your clients. We want you to know, we are here for you,” the tour operator wrote in a memo to the trade.

Advisors can register their bookings, and see all terms and conditions, here.

As reported, ACV, with Air Canada, has suspended operations to Cuba due to an ongoing fuel shortage on the island. The tour operator has cancelled all Cuba bookings until April 30, 2026.

“Client safety remains our top priority, and we are committed to keeping you informed and supported throughout this evolving situation,” ACV told its trade partners.

Automatic refunds

ACV says customers with departures between February 9 and April 30, 2026, will automatically receive a full refund to their original form of payment.

Aeroplan points will also be returned and any gift cards used for Cuba bookings will be refunded in the original form of payment

“There is no need for you or your clients to contact the Contact Centre,” the company says.

ACV says it will proceed with reimbursements in the order of departure dates “to ensure a smooth process for all affected travellers.”

“You can expect refunds to be completed within 10 business days,” ACV says.

For customers currently in Cuba, local ACV Representatives are on the ground supporting clients and coordinating safe and timely return arrangements, including repatriation flights as needed.

“Clients will receive direct communication regarding flight details and itinerary changes,” says ACV. “Please remind them to monitor their email and phone for updates.”

The tour operator also warns of higher call volumes during this time.

“We sincerely appreciate your patience, professionalism, and continued partnership as we navigate this together,” the sales team said.
