5Continents hosts advisors on CroisiEurope Southern Italy FAM
5Continents, working with CroisiEurope, hosted 20 travel advisors and their companions on a familiarization trip aboard La Belle de l’Adriatique, a 190-passenger ocean vessel designed to access smaller ports and operate beyond traditional cruise routes.
The program opened in Naples, with two nights arranged in partnership with 5Continents’ local Italian office.
Along with time in the historic centre and a visit to Teatro di San Carlo, participants also tapped into local culture via an authentic pizza-making class and, for some, a UEFA Champions League match between SSC Napoli and Chelsea FC.
From there, the cruise followed an overnight-in-port itinerary:
Naples – Milazzo – Messina – Vibo Marina – Salerno – Naples.
After departing Naples, guests visited Pompeii, a striking testament to Antiquity.
From Messina, agents explored Sicily with included excursions to Taormina, perched above the Ionian Sea with views of Mount Etna.
The call in Vibo Marina included a visit to Tropea, while Salerno served as a gateway to Amalfi and the Amalfi Coast.
Capri was also highlighted for its timeless elegance and wide-open panoramas.
All excursions were included, allowing participants to experience each destination without compromising cultural depth.
The trip took place in January, with mild temperatures around 14°C and notably lighter crowds than peak season, offering a different look at Southern Italy’s key sights.
5Continents says CroisiEurope departures can be booked for both individual travellers and groups, with the option to combine customized pre- and post-cruise programs.
