It is with great sadness and sorrow that Uniglobe Travel (Eastern Canada) has announced the passing of their past owner and CEO Frank V. Dennis.

Frank V. Dennis passed away Jan. 15, 2022, the company said in a statement on Monday. He was 80 years old.

Prior to joining Uniglobe, Frank enjoyed a successful career in the food industry in many capacities such as Senior Vice-President of Canada Packers and President of Del Monte Foods.

Frank purchased and owned the franchise rights to the Uniglobe Eastern Canada Region from 1991 to 2016.

“Frank was very charismatic, had a warm personality, was someone to look up to and was loved by everyone he met,” Uniglobe said. “Frank was instrumental in growing the Uniglobe Eastern Region over the years and was the first Chair of TICO. He participated in many travel industry events and functions and was a leader and mentor to many.”

Frank had a deep passion for the game of golf and “there wasn’t an industry tournament that he would miss.”

His down time was spent at the cottage and enjoying his four grandchildren.

“Frank was an inspiration to all who knew him.  He will be missed but never forgotten,” Uniglobe said.

Uniglobe’s Sonia McKeon, director of marketing and supplier relations, worked with Frank for more than 25 years.

“He was a great boss, leader and mentor but best of all, a friend,” McKeon wrote in an email to PAX on Monday morning (Jan. 17). “He treated everyone that he knew with respect and made the office environment a fun place to be.”
