Marylène Lupien returns to the travel industry after stepping away from it due to the pandemic. However, she is not returning to TDC (where she acted as head of support and business development from 2018 to 2021).

Instead, she returned to TravelSavers Canada (where she had been director of development in Quebec between 2015 and 2018).

However, her mandate is more important since Lupien officially became, on April 18, national director of TravelSavers Canada.

"I will take care of the development of TravelSavers in Canada, which of course includes the development in Quebec," she told PAX in a recent interview.

Nationally, this is a newly-created position. At the Quebec level, Lupien also takes over the functions occupied by Claude Gingras before his retirement from the industry.

With more than 16 years of travel industry experience, Lupien brings a strong knowledge of sales and customer service which will be vital in her day-to-day role with Quebec-based affiliates.

Based in Montreal, Lupien will work closely with TRAVELSAVERS’ other business analysts, Elizabeth Grundon and Deborah Girard, as the company continues its focus on assisting affiliates to build their businesses.

Under the leadership of Nancy Bennett, senior vice-president of Global Sales, Lupien will also be presenting the TRAVELSAVERS programs and advantages to perspective new agency members as the group continues to grow its affiliate network with qualified agencies.

“We are delighted to have Marylene come back to our Quebec organization, “said Kathryn Mazza-Burney, executive vice- president sales, TRAVELSAVERS. “We are committed to maintaining a strong regional presence in the Canadian market, including local business development directors and business analysts. Our service to our agents, along with our innovative technology, marketing programs, supplier relationships and corporate programs are what makes TRAVELSAVERS stand apart from other travel marketing companies.”
