Maritime Travel appoints Kimberley Wood as director, branch ops for Western Canada

Maritime Travel has announced the appointment of retail travel industry veteran Kimberley Wood as director of branch operations for Western Canada.

“We’re excited to welcome Kimberley to the Maritime Travel team,” says Carol Buchanan, president, retail, Maritime Travel, in a press release on Thursday (July 6). 

Wood will be responsible for Maritime Travel’s 22 leisure agencies in British Columbia and Alberta.

“Kimberley brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in directing the daily operations of agency teams, most recently at Transat Distribution Canada, and previously at American Express Travel,” stated Buchanan. “Western Canada is an important market for Maritime Travel, and we look forward to working with Kimberley as we continue to grow and prosper there.”

Based in Halifax, Maritime Travel, which is a member of Virtuoso, has more than 90 agencies across the country.
