James Howey joins Qantas Airways as director sales – Canada

James Howey has taken on a new role at Qantas Airways as director sales – Canada, based in Vancouver.

“It’s a true honour to be part of this iconic Australian brand known worldwide for its exceptional service, innovation, and rich heritage in the aviation industry,” Howey wrote on his LinkedIn page this week. “Together with the Americas team, we will grow Qantas’ presence in Canada in support of our ongoing three times weekly nonstop service Vancouver - Sydney, AU in addition to our U.S. gateways.”

Howey previously worked at Air Canada, working in various business development, sales and account management roles for nearly 30 years.

He said he looks forward to contributing his skills and passion “to enhance Qantas' reputation in the Canadian market,” fostering strong connections with valued travel trade partners and corporate and government stakeholders “as we deliver outstanding experiences to passengers on their journey Down Under.”

“From Western Australia, to the sacred space of Uluru, or to the beaches of Bondi, we look forward to welcoming you onboard!” Howey wrote.
