Following a passion for sustainable adventure travel, and a commitment to travel advisor communities, Jake Rogers has embarked on a new role at Quark Expeditions.

Rogers is now business development manager, North for the travel company that offers Polar Region expeditions aboard purpose-built expedition ships and icebreakers.

The travel professional, formally a BDM at Hurtigruten and a regional account manager at Air New Zealand, officially started at Quark on Nov. 13, 2023.

In his new role, Rogers will work with existing and new trade partners in Canada and the Midwest U.S to not only develop the Quark brand, but also inspire travellers to visit the Arctic and Antarctic regions.

“In addition to my excitement about working for a company with a rich history and stellar reputation for offering unforgettable polar adventure experiences, I am particularly looking forward to working with agencies embracing the expedition travel space or looking at building their current book of business,” Rogers told PAX.

“I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to collaborate with advisors on various campaigns and marketing strategies, further contributing to the success within the industry we are currently witnessing.”

He’s also eager to work closer with current partners and build new relationships across his territory “to better understand their polar expedition needs and provide them with an amazing experience for their clients.”

“Plus, I'm travelling to Antarctica (my third time!) with Quark Expeditions in March onboard the incredible Polar Expedition Ship, Ultramarine so I'm absolutely thrilled about that too,” Rogers said.
