Ivan Mansanet joins Railbookers as national sales manager for Canada
A familiar face in Canada’s travel industry is choo-choo-choosing a new chapter in his travel career.
Ivan Mansanet, who was a key account manager at Bedsonline for five years, has joined the team at Railbookers as a national sales manager for Canada, PAX has learned.
Railbookers specializes in creating seamless and convenient train vacations for travellers.
In his new role, Mansanet will promote eco-friendly travel by encouraging train travel over other modes of transportation worldwide to travel partners in Canada.
“I can’t wait to promote one of the most underrated forms of long-distance travel out there,” Mansanet told PAX on Tuesday (Feb. 20). “From the comfort of an economy wagon to five-star accommodation on wheels, like the Orient Express, to the Transcantábrico in Spain, it’s an environmentally-friendly option that offers incredible scenery!”
It’s a fitting role for Mansanet, who is originally from Spain. Twenty-seven years ago, he was actually a train attendant for Renfe (Spain’s national railway company), a job that took him to destinations such as Paris, Milano and Zurich.
“Thank you Cris David and Jim Marini for this opportunity,” Mansanet wrote on his LinkedIn page on Tuesday. “The big thank-you (like the Oscars) goes to all my colleagues that had to listen to my crazy and innovative ideas, my travel partners for the trust and Tommy Ryder for the amazing support, mentoring and trust over the years.”
“Can’t wait to see all of you again soon!”
Congrats, Ivan, on your new role!
