Andrés Cortina named dr. of partnerships at First in Service

First in Service (F1S) has announced the appointment of Andrés Cortina as its new director of partnerships, effective immediately.

In this strategic role, Cortina will be integral to expanding F1S's entertainment travel division (which includes Toronto, ON as one of its bases of operations), enhancing program offerings, and driving long-term profitability, according to a release.

Reporting directly to Gina Gabbard, F1S’s chief strategy officer, Cortina will be responsible for creating and implementing strategic partnership initiatives aimed at attracting and retaining entertainment clients.

Leveraging his extensive industry experience and robust supplier relationships, Cortina will ensure exceptional experiences for F1S advisors, clients and travellers.

Cortina joins F1S directly from his role as account director of hotel program development at Internova Travel Group. From 2018 through earlier this year, he previously served as marketing and supplier relations manager at ALTOUR Travel.

Throughout his career, Cortina has driven strategic alliances, managed supplier relations, and implemented high-impact partnerships within the luxury and entertainment travel sectors.

He also gained a 2023 certificate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Artificial Intelligence.
