Alexandre Bergeron has announced that he will be leaving his position as business development director for Quebec and Atlantic Canada at AmaWaterways.

“With a sense of accomplishment, I will be leaving in a few weeks my position as business development director for AmaWaterways, a strong and fast-growing company,” Bergeron wrote on Facebook.

Bergeron has had held this position since July 2024. He had previously served as sales director at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.

Before that, he notably worked with Transat Tours Canada (as a BDM and destination representative) and with Sandals & Beaches Resorts.

Bergeron’s message does not specify the reasons for his departure or his future plans.

However, he invites those interested in taking on the challenge of becoming an “ambassador for Quebec and Atlantic Canada for this brand affiliated with the prestigious LVMH group” to consult AmaWaterways’ job posting.

The call for applications for the Business Development Manager (BDM) position specifies that the role mainly involves maintaining and developing relationships with agencies and travel advisors, while generating new business opportunities within the territory.

The role also includes responsibilities related to partner training, product promotion, achieving sales targets and serving as a key point of contact for agencies and advisors.

The job specifically covers Quebec and Atlantic Canada, and requires professional proficiency in both French and English.
