PAX Pic of the Day: fish balls to go at Lam Cheong Kee in Hong Kong

If there's anywhere in the world that lets you can skip the tourist scene and eat like a local, it's in Hong Kong. 

The cosmopolitan city of more than 7 million people is famous for it's street food - ready-to-eat snacks, such as egg tarts, egg waffles, fish balls and stinky tofu, sold by vendors at food stalls in neighbourhoods everywhere. 

Hong Kong's buzzing Temple Street district is one place that gives foodies easy access to local cuisine (in addition to boasting an eclectic parade of fortune tellers, street singers, night markets and historical landmarks).

You can taste it all on the Temple Street Night Foodie Tour, an expert-led adventure into Hong Kong's local food scene that lets guests explore the neighbourhood's most famous food stalls and restaurants and taste local delicacies. 

PAX did the tour last September, which introduced us the kind folks at Lam Cheong Kee, a small eatery that specializes in fish balls, as seen in today's PAX Pic of the Day.
