St. Lucia's Windjammer Landing unveils new experiences for children
Windjammer Landing Resort & Residences has unveiled its latest all-inclusive offering of experiences for children.
The company says that its recently renovated resort in Saint Lucia, offers an array of activities specially curated for children, "making every young guest feel like a true VIP."
Activities range from Creole dance classes to storytelling sessions and guided nature walks.
Catering to adolescents, the resort extends a diverse range of land and sea endeavours, alongside on-site and off-site soirées during twilight hours.
The resort caters to families with a combination of rooms, suites, and villas located near the beach or nestled in the hillside, each offering privacy and views of the Caribbean Sea.
Kids activities by day
One highlight is the appearance of Jacquot the Parrot, the endearing Windjammer Landing mascot, surprising kids with visits to resort restaurants during lunch and dinner.
The offerings include Kiddie Fruity Mocktail Mixing, an opportunity for budding junior mixologists to craft their own mocktails under the expert guidance of the Jacquot Kids Club.
Delving into nature's beauty, a guided nature walk awaits young explorers, immersing them in the lush flora and fauna of Labrelotte Bay, a testament to the resort's rich ecosystem.
Yoga sessions tailored for kids, a Kiddie Creole Dance Class, and a Kiddie Horseback Riding Adventure await each day. Children can delve into Saint Lucian culture through dance, explore scenic vistas on horseback, and find tranquillity through yoga in the hilltop garden.
Young creatives will flourish during Arts & Craft sessions, where they'll embrace the vibrant tradition of Carnival costume-making. Led by the skilled Kids Club Coordinators, children will craft their own Carnival masterpieces, connecting with Saint Lucian heritage. Other daytime activities include beach games, talent shows, pool parties and Olympics.
Kids activities by night
The VIP Kid’s Program includes the Jacqout Funatic Puppet Making and Show, a weekly event that ignites young minds' creativity.
Crafting Windjammer Landing puppets and participating in an entertaining puppet show, children discover the perfect blend of comedy, education, and pure enjoyment, shared the resort.
Jacquot the Parrot leads storytelling sessions on the beach, setting the stage for soothing bedtime moments.
Beachside movie nights bring classic kid-friendly films to life, complete with pillows and blankets for an outdoor cinematic experience. Other night-time activities include disco glow parties, limbo lessons, and games.
Kids receive warm milk and cookies, a special teddy bear as a keepsake, and a goodnight story read by none other than Jacquot himself.
The "thoughtfully" designed rooms include soothing night lights, creating a relaxing ambiance for a goodnight sleep.
The Kids Turn Down Service starts from USD $50 per child (cookies and milk, story, and tuck-in from Jacquot, night light, and take-home teddy bear).
Kids culinary classes
With seven restaurants to choose from, Windjammer says it caters to every palate.
From the seafood offerings at Dragonfly, the Italian feast at Papa Don’s, to the casual beachside ambiance of Jammers, there's a culinary adventure awaiting every guest.
And for the young ones, the resort ensures that even the pickiest eaters will enjoy the kid's menu options, allowing parents and grandparents to savour the local Saint Lucian cuisine with peace of mind while the kids relish their familiar favourites.
On the all-inclusive package, kids 11 and under eat for free.
Venturing beyond the dining options, culinary exploration takes centre stage with the Kiddies Island Chef Cooking Class led by the resort's renowned chefs.
This immersive culinary experience is tailor-made for children, introducing them to the art of crafting authentic Saint Lucian cuisine.
From understanding ingredients to mastering techniques, kids will receive firsthand knowledge in the heart of the resort's kitchens.
This winter, seasonal direct nonstop flights to Saint Lucia from Toronto are available with Air Canada, WestJet, and Sunwing.
