WestJet Vacations highlights resort renovations in Mexico, Costa Rica & Punta Cana

WestJet Vacations is highlighting a series of refreshed resort experiences across its growing sun portfolio, including properties in Mexico, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic.

Among the properties in the spotlight are Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta, Azura Beach Resort Samara and Majestic Colonial Punta Cana, with the latter two undergoing renovations ahead of upcoming reopenings.

In Mexico, Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta offers an all-inclusive beachfront escape with a variety of dining options, activities and amenities. The property forms part of WestJet Vacations’ broader Mexico portfolio and provides another option for Canadians seeking an easy sun getaway.

Meanwhile, in Costa Rica, Azura Beach Resort Samara is preparing to reopen this fall following a renovation that includes 56 new rooms.

Located in the Samara area of Guanacaste, the beachfront resort offers a more secluded setting surrounded by Costa Rica’s natural scenery. Guests have access to a variety of dining experiences and resort amenities, while the property can also serve as a home base for exploring the region’s beaches and outdoor attractions.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana is also undergoing a transformation, with the five-star all-inclusive resort anticipating a Nov. 12, 2026 reopening.

Located along Punta Cana’s white-sand shores, the resort caters to both families and adults. Amenities include a children’s pool, playground and waterpark, along with several bars and entertainment venues featuring live music. A sports bar and swim-up bar are also among the offerings.

Vacation packages to Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta, Azura Beach Resort Samara and Majestic Colonial Punta Cana are available through WestJet Vacations, subject to individual resort availability and reopening dates.
