Viva Miches by Wyndham in Dominican unbolts its doors

Viva Resorts by Wyndham officially inaugurated its newest beachfront property, Viva Miches by Wyndham, during a ceremony attended by the president of the Dominican Republic along with national and local officials.

The resort is located on Playa Esmeralda in the emerging destination of Miches.

“Thirty-eight years ago, we began our story in the Dominican Republic with a pioneering spirit,” said Ettore Colussi, founder and president of Viva Resorts by Wyndham. “That same spirit led us to discover destinations like Bayahibe, and today it brings us to Miches with the same enthusiasm- reaffirming our promise tooffer the best beaches, infused with the joy and hospitality that define us.”

With an initial investment of $80 million, Viva Miches by Wyndham opens its doors with 538 guest rooms, five internationally inspired restaurants, entertainment areas, and all-inclusive services. 

A second phase is planned to expand the resort’s capacity to 750 rooms, bringing the total investment to $130 million.

The project is part of a broader regional transformation, driven by new public infrastructure developments that enhance connectivity and provide essential services—positioning Miches as an emerging tourism hub.
