Viceroy Los Cabos is finally open

Ultra-luxurious Viceroy Hotel Group just inaugurated its highly-anticipated 15th property on the beautiful Baja California peninsula in Western Mexico. Located in what was formerly known as Mar Adentro, the architecturally stunning Viceroy Los Cabos encompasses just 104 rooms overlooking the Sea of Cortes, in the heart of colonial San Jose del Cabo.

The contemporary, sleek look of the Viceroy further consolidates Los Cabos as a destination catering almost exclusively to the most decerning and sophisticated travellers.

The spacious yet minimalistic suites, some with wrap-around balconies, are scattered across several white-washed buildings which are connected by elevated walkways. The color palette features warm shades of blue and natural sand, inspired by the binary elements present at the resort: ocean and desert.

Amongst the most notable additions to these extensive renovations are the beachfront pool and bar, a seductive new lobby as well as a handful of gastronomic restaurants. The layout of the lot embraces the presence of water throughout, be it with unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean, with subtle sound effects for an elevated sensory experience or with luxuriant fountain and plants arrangements.

As the latest addition to The Viceroy Icon Collection, the lavish property includes a total of four restaurants and lounges (including Nido, a "nest" of sorts bound to become a meeting place for guests and locals alike featuring a nest-like structure), a rooftop bar, a fitness center, a movie theater as well as an indulgent spa and a kid's club.
