Two Dreams resorts in Dominican Republic will discontinue this winter

Dreams Punta Cana Resort & Spa and Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana will no longer be represented under the AMR Collection this winter as the contracts for both properties are set to expire.

Sharing an email update with industry partners on Thursday (Aug. 11), AMResorts and Playa Hotels & Resorts confirmed the expiration of the contract for Dreams Punta Cana effective Dec. 20, 2022. 

The resort will no longer be represented under the AMR Collection brand as of that date.

Beginning Dec. 21, 2022, guests with existing reservations at Dreams Punta Cana Resort & Spa will have their stays protected at another AMR Collection-branded property in the destination, the company said.

Similarly, effective Jan. 6, 2023, Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana, too, will no longer be represented by the AMR Collection. 

Beginning Jan. 7, 2023, guests with existing reservations at Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana will also have their stays protected at another AMR Collection property in destination.
