Tempo by Hilton – a contemporary lifestyle brand for business and leisure travellers – will make its debut in Canada as a new build at Toronto Pearson airport.

Expected to open in 2028, the 193-room hotel forms part of a multi-use complex with airport access, reads a release.

This latest addition to the company’s portfolio supports Hilton’s continued growth in Canada, where the company has more than 190 hotels open and a pipeline of nearly 110 properties in various phases of development. The company is expected to surpass 200 hotels this year.

“The introduction of Tempo by Hilton Toronto Airport represents an exciting milestone as we continue to bolster our offerings of world-class brands across Canada,” said Matt Wehling, senior vice president, development, U.S. & Canada, Hilton, in the release. “We are fortunate to collaborate with visionary in-market owners like Inspiration Group to propel our efforts to introduce new brands across the destination to meet the evolving needs of our guests.”

A “refuge in between travel"

Located about 25 kilometres from downtown Toronto, and designed by architecture firm Khalsa Design, the 16-story Tempo by Hilton Toronto Airport will welcome guests across 193 guest rooms, including four suites, offering three zones for function and comfort, along with a dedicated Get Ready zone and spacious bathroom.

Guests will have access to the “Power Down” in-room experience, which provides an “enveloping sleep environment,” enabling visitors to recharge and find balance after a travel day.

From room lighting that adjusts to the time of day to blackout curtains and wireless phone chargers promoting screen-free time, Tempo by Hilton Toronto Airport promises a “refuge in between travel.”

Tempo Wellness guest rooms will also be available featuring Peloton equipment.

“Dedicated to meeting the needs of today’s ambitious and modern traveler, Tempo by Hilton Toronto Airport will offer an ideal location for guests looking to keep up with their routine on the road while finding time to relax and recharge,” said Kevin Morgan, brand leader, Tempo by Hilton.

The stylish property will offer a variety of dining options including a coffee bar, a complimentary Hydration Bar, an expansive fitness center with a cardio space, weights area and recovery zone, and an indoor pool.

The property will also have over 3,000 square feet of meeting space, including two ballrooms and four meeting rooms.

Tempo by Hilton Toronto Airport will form part of Hilton Honors, the guest-loyalty program for Hilton’s 24 brands.

Portfolio expands

Tempo by Hilton Toronto Airport will join the brand’s expanding portfolio, from New York to Nashville and nearly 60 additional properties in various stages of development across global cities like Belfast, Reykjavik and Lisbon.

Tempo forms part of Hilton’s portfolio of lifestyle hotels, which now includes Canopy by Hilton, Curio Collection by Hilton, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, Graduate by Hilton and Motto by Hilton.

The opening of Tempo by Hilton Toronto Airport builds upon the company’s goal of doubling its Lifestyle portfolio by 2028.
