Sunwing Vacations adds five new and renovated all-inclusive resorts for 2026

Sunwing Vacations has expanded its 2026 resort portfolio with five new and newly renovated all-inclusive properties across Mexico and the Dominican Republic, adding options for families and adults-only travellers.

Riu Jalisco — Newly expanded family resort

Following a multi-million-dollar renovation completed in December 2025, Riu Jalisco in Nuevo Vallarta now has 820 renovated rooms, including family suites that accommodate up to six guests.

Outdoor updates include six swimming pools, two children’s pools with games and slides, and a new splash pad playground. 

Food-and-drink additions include an American Country restaurant, a Candy ice cream parlour and a Sports Bar, alongside existing specialty restaurants. 

The resort also has a refreshed RiuLand kids’ club with supervised activities. 

The property is set on Playa de Flamingos.

Ocean Allure Costa Mujeres — New adults-only property

Opened in December 2025, this adults-only (18+) property is surrounded by mangroves and tropical jungle. 

It has 599 suites, including swim-out rooms with direct pool access.

Amenities include multiple infinity pools (including a rooftop option), a wave pool and a lazy river. 

Dining spans eight themed à la carte restaurants—from Japanese teppanyaki to French fine dining—plus 10 bars across the resort.

Bakour Punta Cana Suites — New to Sunwing, boutique-style family-friendly stay

This boutique-style all-inclusive property is located on the shores of Cabeza de Toro and offers beachfront access, a large outdoor pool, a solarium, and a spa and wellness centre.

Programming runs day to night, with activities for all ages including sports, pool games and evening activities.

Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun — New resort for families and couples

Opened in November 2025, this Iberostar property is located near Puerto Morelos. The resort offers water sports, spa treatments, and daily activities including tennis, archery, rifle shooting, yoga and Aquafit.

It also features five pools, a children’s splash pad and a supervised kids’ club.

Hideaway Riviera Cancun, An Autograph Collection All Inclusive Resort Adults Only — Newly renovated dual-resort offering

Reopened in December 2025 following a multi-million-dollar renovation, the neighbouring resorts have updated suites, restaurants, public areas and pools.

On the family side, amenities include the Splash Safari water park with creature slides and lily pad waterfalls, supervised kids’ clubs (ages 4–12) and teen lounges (ages 13–17). 

The adults-only Hideaway offers dedicated pools, private beach areas and dining venues including the Dorado beachfront seafood grill.

Both resorts offer DreamBed mattresses, rain showers, 24-hour room service, and Diamond Club™ suite categories.
