Sonesta Resorts St. Maarten releases sneak peek of renovations

Months after clearing debris, the Sonesta Resorts St. Maarten is ready to unveil its new look.

When Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria hit, a portion of the residences were damaged, including the Sky Tower (the main hotel building at Sonesta Maho). The Sonesta Maho’s Sky Tower was stripped right down to its bare frame again in order to rebuild a brand new residency.

Images of the newly renovated Sonesta Maho Beach Resort, Casino & Spa and Sonesta Ocean Point Resort are finally circulating. The new design pays tribute to the heritage of the island, but in a modern and contemporary way.

No re-opening date has been confirmed, but the group anticipates that it will happen soon.
